Program

Education

Objective: Improved education of targeted Jamaican youth

Overview

Educational activities are designed to improve the quality of education for youth who are at risk of dropping out, as well as for those in poorly performing schools, through multiple approaches, including strengthening classroom teaching quality. Assistance addresses the resource constraints of Jamaica’s schools by engaging parents, communities, and the private sector as partners in education. Other areas of focus include activities to improve male academic performance and to reduce the incidence of human trafficking.
